Not another INTAKE THREAD !! o=)

i know how much you guys hate these... just want to hear some opinions.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem

Is that good to buy? I want to get that and put a K & N filter on it... i just dont know where i can get a good deal on those... or should i get a MAF adapter and just a filter ?

and one more question what kind of paint should i use to paint the tube ?

Feel free to flame me... but i did read all the damn intake posts... and everyperson suggests a different set up... and i decided to get that short ram and a knk filter.

Also was wondering if fender vents would help ? it would allow colder air to enter the compartment... maybe build a custom vent pointing to the outside.. i dunno...

In honnesty if your not willing to spend some money in order to get some good performance out of your car then maybe modding your car isnt the best thing for you. Or purchase an already modded car so you dont have to do any work.

Intake give a minimal increase. Y pipe is the best bang for buck and depending on how much power you want to get out of your car, or have in your car that will decide the next step.

Y-pipe is the best first mod.

Buy a new one.

FYI, Some of the stickies are horribly outdated.

You're going to need to donate another 20 dollars after that statement.

You have the search option, so it's time to use it!

Whatever setup you go with, you'll eventually end up back with stock.

Short ram intake will not save you gas...nor will it pump up an extra 10 hp. You'll actually feel your car struggle in the low end power and won't hear "the growl" until you hit high end.

20 hp is a bit much for the Y+high flow cat. The Gains given by the high flow cat are very minimal, the y pipe is where most of the gain it.

its been done and no way can you do that for only $200. And, why dont oyu search some more? You can get a ypipe for $200 shipped from warpspeed or budget, or get a used one for even less.

LMAO Im glad to hear someone else say that,Ive been talking to friends about some things I would like to try on the Max that would be kinda unique and for some reason I've heard that very statement like 10 times.....that alone makes me not want it,let alone the "absurd" factor

This thread is f'n ridiculous. If you can search how can you not know all this information and keep posting stupid $hit. There's no reason to spend $300 on a y-pipe. Just because the product information may say +20hp or whatnot it doesnt mean it will. Go ahead and buy some audio $hit and stop talking about performance if you're not gonna drop $$. Do what you want with the car, of course it's yours. But dont get pissed when everyone on here tells you what to do and you give some crap reason against it or that its a waste. You cant buy all your $hit from ebay and expect to have a big hp jump.

yo, stay with the stock intake with a k/n filter, get a budget y-pipe. these mods will only cost about 300.00 max installed. then go with nitrous or a ecu. personally with gas prices I say nitrous so you can run 87 or 89 allday then run 93-94 when you want the juice since your being cheap. you can buy a ecu from some one for around 250-500 bucks and a zex kit for around 500.00 .... so there you go now you have 15 to a possible 90hp for less then a 1000.00 DOLLARS
