Does anyone know if you can buy the louvers for the rear window that are installed on the inside. I would throw on extra tint, but my wife won,t see when she backs up, so that is not an option right now. All help would be appreciated. TYIA.

Thought I'd answer so you wouldn't feel lonely...

Never heard of a louver that installs on the inside.
Never seen one for the outside of a Maxima.
However, I have seen one of those perforated vinyl
sunshades that attaches to the rear window with suction cups.
But, while it would function, I don't think it would look very good.

Why not use tint?
Just go with enough to block the sun but not your wife's vision.
Or go a bit darker, and get your wife some carrots...

I have no idea, but reminds me of the louvers you'd see on the back of cars all the time. Anyone ever put them on a Max? I'd think it'd look... ah... different. Can someone else do it and show me, so I can see how it looks?

Can,t remember which one but........

I thought the louvers came as optional on like the new model I30 but maybe it was a different luxury model.

I had a car with double limo tint and you can,t see anything at night so I would rather not use another layer on the back. It sure does get hot in the back seat if the sun shines on you though.

I like the idea

I have seen a place where you could buy rear window louvers for 3rd gen, but never 4th gen. I think itwould be cool to have louvers on the outside rear window of a 4th gen, it would give it a real sporty look.
