Weird noise after insalling FSTB, can someone help!!!
Ok so i finally put on my FSTB after i dont know how many weeks. Well no everytime i accelerate there is this 'tick, tick, tick' noise coming from somewhere. I thought maybe something was loose so i checked all the bolts and gave everything a little extra turn just to be safe they were on there and the noise is still there. Im pretty sure the FSTB is not causing the noise, but i can seem to find the problem and there is no difference in the way the car drives or accelerates. Any thoughts?

sounds like it could be your lifters but impossible to know unless you can find out where the tick is coming from. pop your hood and give a little pull on the throttle cable and see if you can tell where the tick is coming from. it may also be usefull so you can see if it ticks while the car is not moving.

Thanks but i tried that already. I cant get it to make the noise sitting still and pulling on the throttle cable did nothing. It appears to only make the noise when i am accelerating. My TOB makes noise when i am sitting still and the car is out of gear but i have never heard of a TOB making noise when you are accelerating. Im gonna take the FSTB off just to see if it stops making the noise, i doubt this will help but it doesnt hurt to try.

You driving w/ coilovers????If you are, then the reason it make that 'tick 'tick 'tick continuously when you cruise, is yur wheels bearing. I have the same problem since i got my coilovers installed, its only happen to the front bearings. I still have that noise right now, but its really annoying, am trying to get it fix asap. I shouldnt drop it too low!!!

Oh, and btw, we should go hit up a junkyard sometime to get you some leather. I got my full interior (seats and door panels) for $250 good condition.
