Yo Nissan that sounds great. I think that muffler would be perfect for my dual project. Such a great sound. Thanks a lot for that post!

:EDIT: You know what...I jsut realized I can't use this muffler for my dual project. I didn't notice that the pipes are bent to the left to fit on the max. I wouldn't be able to fit the muffler on the left side of the car huh? That blows....

The pipes are bent to the left so it would make your project very difficult. You need custom piping at a fabrication shop to make your duals work. Your better off getting two mufflers and having a exhaust shop do the rest with the piping.

Well I am going to a custom shop. They do all sorts of custom work and custom exhuasts. I'll ask them if this would be possible or if I would be better off with something else. Sucks tho, I really like the sound of this muffler.

Im sure they could. This is a email I got from them two weeks ago......

If you don't mind asking around, find out what other products are needed for the Maxima. We are a performance fabrication shop that can do exhaust, and other types of steel fabrication. Things like chassis braces, etc...

PM= Private Message. You should be able to as a newbie. I could. Just click on the name on the name of a posted comment and it will drop down a box that gives options (homepage, pm, etc.). Pretty simple. Hope that was clear enough

The exhaust sounds nice! Actually the best i've heard actually. It has that X factor in most of the maxima's exhaust clips i've heard. The closest thing you could compare this too would be the warpspeed exhaust.

Question: Do you have a ypipe in those clips?

This is the fourth day with it on. Is it going to get louder or quieter after its broken in?

If you do get one, that sound will change completely. It will be louder.

Why buy two rear sections to make a dual setup? You will have to cut both up, and the drivers' side muffler might be too big if you plan on leaving charcol canister and etc. there. To have a dual with two mufflers not just two tips requires small round mufflers and custom piping. You can have dual with two tips and one muffler as well, that is how most setups are. If you want two mufflers I would get the smallest ones I could find so they will both fit the way you want.

My stock muffler was in bad shape too. Chicago winters well like I said if the company sees enough interest then they will make then again. Basically I got the last one. Their email is sixsigmatech@comcast.net I suggest everyone who is very interested contact them about the exhaust. If you have a 95/96 then for need a test pipe to extend the exhaust into the back bumper opening.

Tim, I know that the dual usually has one muffler and two tips. That was my first idea but I thought I'd try to do split back from the cat. Just thought two mufflers would sound better. I might end up doing a bigger flowmaster then break it to two tips.

I was hoping you did have one because of that. It sounds so good right now i think a ypipe might overdue it.

Just wanted to tell you about the two small mufflers, they can fit on each side if they are small enough and round, I don't think two oval mufflers would fit w/o changes, good luck it looks great.

Yeah I'm doing one muffler. The 80 Series Cross Flow was the one I was looking at: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/80_series.html

Then I'll have them split it and run tips to each side.

I was thinking of doing these tips: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/pr...oducts_id=3653

:Edit: Anyone know why I can't post pics?

Rome06 has 2 Apexi N1 mufflers on his unresonated dual exhaust and it sounds freakin great. No y pipe though, only catback. If u ask me, it sounds better than a Z or a G.

As for the silverline muffler, it sounds great.

Just noticed that there is one more of the exhausts on Ebay if anyone is interested. It looks like they are selling their prototype.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AAAQ%3AUS%3A1

I've had mine for about 8 months and I love it, no problems to report. I had an aftermarket Y-Pipe and it didn't sound much different than the sound clips posted above. Not too loud.

I'm down. we'll set them infront of my intake and I'll rev to 6g's and they wont be around anymore. haha the old PRCAI never fails. Everyone acts as if the hurricanes here in FL were a tradegy, but in all honesty it was me redlining on a bad day.

(disclaimer: I in no way condone this sort of action in any way shape or form and I am in no way responsible for the hurricanes of the last year.. there was no substantial evidence to show that an intake could do so much damage to such a hot and humid penisula.)
