I have a 95SE, 5-speed, and what caused me to buy my car was those articles. IIRC, there was a Car and Driver and a Motor Trend article and the
0 - 60 times were 6.6 and 6.7. I believe I also read a Road & Track article that was about the cheapest cars (had to be able to carr 4 people) that could go in excess of 140 mph. The Mazda Millenia was another at the time and I can't remember the price threshhold.

IIRC, the Maxima was rated at 142 or 143 mph and I've been there, done that once before but never again.
