Is it possible to make the rear windows so they roll all the way down instead of partially?

I, too, wish the rear door windows could roll all the way down. It's a physical impossibility. The doors aren't long enough.

Measure the height of your rear door window. It is 17 inches. Now open the rear door and visualize where the trailing edge of the glass would be if the window was rolled down 17 inches. It's not inside the door!

They should make bigger doors!

How about windows made of flexible plastic, and they could roll up like a windowshade inside the door.

hmm wish there was a way, it would look much more clean. You could bust out the dremel too and saw a cut in the door and then down into the wheel well so when the window rolls down it just goes through the crack you made

i got a better idea.... how about you just tint your windows then just pretend you are showing the fact off... its not like you got to sit back there and you cant stick your arm out the window

here's an idea but i doubt it'll work. have any of ya'll seen the ES300 rear windows? after the go down evenly, the front part will go down even futher where as the back is staying still, just leaning forward as the front part goes down. anyone know what i mean? would that be possible?

I tested drive ES300 a few times but didn't know its window rolls down like that. I believe I saw some LS400 window the same way when it's down. I thought their window mechanism was broken.

If Max's rear window divider is designed a bit towards the front of the car, then the rear window can roll down more. But the overall opening will be smaller.

i know, i know this thread is long since dead ... but i had an idea

if you really wanted it that badly you could make a little slit cut out in the door and frame and have the window slide down into there .. the only problem is that if someone were to open the door with the window rolled down it'll break ... just a thought
