2 tickets, 5 minutes
State boy hits me last night for "unreasonable speed" and "muffler violation".
I guess I should have left the quiet Magnaflow warpspeed sent me. I'll post pics of my muffler for sale in a day or so, I'll be going with something quieter now.

he must have gone pretty fast for the cops to give him two tickets in one catch. trooper harris down here would be the dicc to do that most of the time. he hates ricers, so if he catches a speeding vehicle with a loud muff, he'll ask you to open up the hood for an examination.
if you are going to stand out in the crowd, try not to violate any laws, or you'll be compensated for the obvious.

Anyways, i think sometimes it is a benefit to have multiple things wrong, or multiple violations, with your car when u get pulled over. For instance, Last weekend i got pulled over for going 10+ over, but luckily the taillight harnesses i bought just 2 days before didnt arrive yet and i got a fix it ticket for broken taillight instead of the speeding. Sometimes some cops just need a little probable cause to scare u a bit.

Not to mention if you are driving too fast and making it obvious that you have modded your car, it's not the cops fault that you got his attention . .

some people deserve to get pulled over... like the ones who go 100+ down the highway in rush hour traffic and pass people on the shoulder and purposefully slam on their brakes to try to make people who wouldn;t move out of their way hit them and then swirv into THEM when they swirv to miss...

I call the police to tell them that somebody has broken into my garage and stole some of my tools. They come 5 hours later to write a police report. ????
The person had enuff time to get on a plane and go to cali.
I guess they were too buzy pulling someone over for a fart can or ricer blue lights.
I think they need to stop being a collection agency and follow their job title "to serve and protect".
They've collected $330 from me and haven't protected or served me yet.

The Police are peace officers. What did you expect, for them to call out an amber alert for your tools and spend thousands of man hours, alongside millions of dollars, to find a couple of lost hammers? Look at him from their point of view:
Let's say someone calls you, and tells you that someone robbed their house last week. What would be your first thought? Probably "Well, if they robbed it last week and it isn't a robbery or assault in-progress, then there is no super/urgent need to speed over to the house". Then you would do what you were trained to do in that situation: write up a police report, document it, and hope they find the stuff.
Now won't you look like an *** when you are in need of help and, hey, guess what?! A police officer comes to save you! I think that's the third level of hell according to Dante.

some people get dikked, some don't. for me, for each of the two car's i've owned, I get a ticket [not even a fix-it ticket] for having white blinkers. I see a lot of other people who drive around with white blinkers all the time. either they have the money and idiocy to keep their white lights, or they never got caught. we all will have our share of bs.

For all that asked- I was probably doing about 6mph over? I was crusing in second gear about to pull in to a parking spot to wait for my girl (who was on her way in town). He was sitting very visable (watching a movie on his little laptop) and proceeded to use his lights. I have never seen this loser *** cop use his lights, he usually just yells at people on his PA.
I quote him as he walked to my window: "Unreasonable speed for an icy road, and your muffler is louder than stock- so your getting two hotshot." I couldn't believe it- My system still has a cat, resonator, and its no where near as loud as the Escort behind me dragging a ****ing bpipe on the ground.
What we have here is a ******** cop. There are two cops working at my job part-time, and I asked both of them if it would be a problem. Both said no, and in two years of having loud Maxima's I've never had a problem. He didn't print the speed on the ticket, he just marked it "Unreasonable speed" and "Muffler Violation". I don't know whether to contest this or just bite the bullet.
Its gonna end up costing $240. Guess I can forget the VAFC.
(and yeah Shawn, it will ) lol

go to a shop and slip the guy at the counter a fin or a $10-spot to write up a work order saying you got the exhaust changed. bring it to court and you'll most likely get that ticket thrown out.
depending on how fast you were going you can prob. get out of that too.
i can't stress it enough. GO TO COURT. don't mail in a guilty plea. go to court and most often you can get away with anything short of murder.
i once got 6 months supervision for going 117 in a 55.

I wish I was kidding about 45 in a 40 but I'm not. I see that cop there probably 3 times a week on the way to work and pass him every day doing 45ish, but this day I was out in front of the group of traffic, and saw him a little too late and was going a little too fast. Unmarked crown vic parked in church parking lot with no visible lights, very sneaky. But he dinged me. I don't know if I will contest it or not.
