high idle and CV joints
I recently put some GUM fuel injector cleaner into a tank of gas, and in the last week, I noticed that after driving the car, I noticed a few problems: the idle is not very smoothly, and when i put the car in neutral or Park, the RPM is about 1250--which is very high considering the car is warm--and normal idling is about 750, wondering if anyone has any ideas to remedy this problem?
I went for new tires and I see that the boots on my axle (CV joints) have been leaking--just wondering what the average is for replacement and how long do I have left (it's been leaking for about a year now) before I really need to get it changed?

Adjust your idle to be lower.
Might as well put a new axle in. You could have tried putting a new boot, but its been quite some time. from raxles.com a new axle will runa bout $120-$150. Shop shouldnt charge more than $150 to install.
You could also get an axle from you local auto store for about $60-$80
