go in the group deal section for prices. If i were to do it i would do a retrofit using some bmw e36, or tsx projectors. go to hidplanet.com and read.

Alot of people want hids but may not be willing to invest in it. For one, a bulb could be $50+ for just 1. Mistakenly wiring a ballast wrong say bye bye to $100+. For everything new just look to spend about $400 or more. When you go to hidplanet you will see why we say oem alot. For one they are better and hold up longer, for 2 "the kits" are ILLEGAL!! http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1003
Hmm, some of the names on that list look familiar. Do not look to get anything "higher" than 6000k because oem will not have this, once you go past this, useable light actually starts to diminish the higher the number. People with 12000k "kits" might as well drive with their lights off cause it's the same difference.

kits are crap and full of glare, especially in our sh!tty stock 9004 housing. there's a reason why they're banned in the US. i think hidplanet.com is running a summer special where you get brand new set of projector, ballast, bulb for $400. these are all brand new OEM stuff too. i bought my set for for $350 on ebay. $400 is a good price if you want to buy it all in once place instead of a piece here and there.

this is what a real hid setup is supposed to look like

I have my '98 maxima retrofitted with audi rs6 Bi-xenon projectors and matsu****a ballast that i've been trying to sell. All parts are oem from high end cars. If i do sell it it would be the whole setup so all you have to do is plug and play. Let me know if you are interested and i can post pictures.

to answer your question if you want your high beams with projectors you will have to buy projectors with the Bi-xenon mechanism.

if you have cefiro's though do you really need to retrofit them for better lighting? isn't the cefiro H4 housing better than the 9004's? (what i'm trying to say is cant you just buy the HID kits like in the group deal if you have Cefiro's and have good lighting)?

yea i'm thinking of doing that. i think i'll get a pair of diamond clears and paint it graphite to match, soon as i'm done with the retro on my other car.

oh yea, don't waste your money on kits. if you want HIDs, do it right. and doing it right doesn't cost much more than buying crappy kits.

read this if you're considering a kit,

check out hidplanet.com, a complete set of brand new OEM bosch projectors, hella ballasts, philips bulbs, brackets for only $370.

even though cefiro housing has little better lightning out put, it still isn't made to use with HID. You'll still blind the other driver. Just because you don't get flashed doesn't mean you're not blinding the other drivers.
