New retrofit lights, dual lens HID check it out*updated*

Just something I've been working on for about a month and proof that it can be done. I am still working on these because they have not yet been aimed. The inner lens is a regular H3 halogen driving light. I aimed it up a little to be a highbeam since the projectors I got are e55 single zenon.

One stock one retroed

Hot! must have beena close fit, and difficult to aim and get all aligned but must be worth it. You know more pics are needed.

Max looks Clean too! Excellent work

It was a close fit I wanted to use some fogs from pepboys that had the angel eyes on them but I didn't want to spend $60 bucks. Someone could out do me and really have a nice set, I'm paranoid about them getting hit and losing all that work and money. The bulbs are regular hid about 4100-4300k hella projectors and ballasts and osram bulbs

I could understand the paranoya but run the duals, and enjoy having some rarity to your max. Plus if someone hit you head on, I'm sure it wouldnt be your fault and plus you'd be able to get a little extra change from the situation to redo the lights, but the chances of that happening are very slim

Don't worry, I'll have a write up but I can't promise when, I'll take pics and everything so don't worry. This is a close up the light, by no means is it perfect. On retros you usually use real bezels but these are electrical pvc pipe collars and the shroud is a light pvc (not as thick as the regular pvc) these were rtv siliconed together and then painted bumper chrome color. I don't know where to get the real chrome paint they actually use in the stock headlights.
As you can see the projector bezel clears the fog light where the fog curves, the projector still has room to move left or right when I finally aim them. It is s tight fit up and acutally rests where the headlight top and bottom start towards the back and gets tighter but I can still move it up and down a centimeter or 2.

i used ot have a website with pics of how it was done.. liek the pics spoke for them selves... i took down the site 3 weeks ago... hmm ill put it back up... so if your interested.. im gonna be redoing a pair again.. = ) cause i dont think ill be content with teh cefiros for too long.. unless i do this to the cefiros... which would kick ***...

hmm that should be original.. cefrio duals.. hmm.. (LIGHTBULB ABOVE HEAD) sweet.... okay well i guess ill do that to cefiro... MAXMUTES.. u bum im gonna need to borrow ur headlights... this time for real.. cause i cant drive without headlights and this work takes a good 2 -days.. hmm and ill do it rite this time...

last time i used two pipes as like a "FRAME" for the lights.. but that didnt owrk too welll they started to warp a bit cause of the heat... so im gonna have to re do it... i guess....

Hot to deff! But it makes the max look slightly cross eyed. Maybe they just have to be aimed different.

They are not aimed yet at all, they will still need final adjustments once I wire the ballasts up, I'll probably be doing that tomorrow.

Nice install. I would have used cefiros so i could space the projectors out a bit.

thumbs up for putting the myths about not being able to fit 2 lamps in a single headlamp to rest.

That's what I always tell people. You think you get done with the hard part of putting the headlights together, but realize you just started a much harder task of aiming them....

Aiming wasn't that difficult for me, just a few turns of the aiming screws...i've had harder times trying to aim my fogs.
