Help, car wont start again!! (kinda long)

So it finally got to the point where my car won't start again, and I'm trying to get an actual answer instead of taking it to the mechanic and have them scratching their heads for 5 days again.
Originally my car didn't start very well then it slowly didnt start at all. Pushed in the clutch and turned the key and nothing. No battery problems nothing. It seemed to get worse and worse as the summer when on and the car was hot. I took it to a mechanic and they had it for a whole week and all they could do was deactivate the alarm system and do some sort of over ride to get it to start. So when I got the car back it started everytime but it started reallly rough and died a lot after the engine turned over. This was all new, my car started perfectly before. And now my alarm was broken.
So a year later and summer is kicking in and the same thing is happening. It slowly is getting harder and harder to start and today I couldn't even start it. Help, I have no idea whats causing the problem and its really frustrating.
Here the symptoms:
-No sound when I turn the key
-Occasionally will start for no reason
-Mechanic thought the alarm system was the fault so tried to fix it, second mechanic said the same thing to me when I was chatting with him.

I know I saw other people having similar problems wondering if anyone actually knows the electrical problem with my car.

One more thing, I have water damage in the trunk from a leaking trunk. It could be effecting the alarm system as well.

It's either the starter or the ignition switch.
More likely the ignition switch acting up as the interriior of your car heats up in the summer months.

ignition switch. very easy to replace.

our NVIS(vehical immobilizer) uses a single wire to connect to the ECM, see if they disconnected it.

Already checked the Clutch ON/Off switch? Maybe Ohm it out? try to check the wiring for the alarm like, maybe it wont de-activate the alarm and allow it to start.

It's the ignition switch. The stock one has a short that develops due to a bad solder. It is stealing the juice from the coil packs. 20$ and 20 mins of your time. Good luck.

Hey guys I replaced the old ignition switch with a new one yesterday my car fired up clean and on the first turn of the key three times in a row and it started great this morning. This compared to the previous day where I could hardly start the car and started getting a blister on my finger from turning the key so many times in frustration.

THANKS GUYS!!!
