Brakes squeaks after coming to a stop

I know I've seen similar threads about the parking brakes not releasing fully. I would come to a stop and when I let go of the brakes, it sounds like the brakes didn't release fully. Just wondering if it's normal.

No its not normal. Sounds like your caliper pins need some cleaning/re-lubing. Make sure to clean the pad retaining clips and mounts thoroughly. Use anti-squeal goop on the back of the pads and shims. Of note, recently a friend of mine had his rear brakes serviced at the local nissan dealer, they actually put some high-temp grease on the pad retaining clips - so that the pads don't bind on the clips. I've never done this myself, but intend to from now on - it makes sense.

Check to see if the caliper piston is frozen/sticking and check the rear parking brake cables for damage. You might have to replace your parking brake cables and do a brake job if your pads are worn

Jatan - I don't think this has anything do to with his parking brake cables - since he says it only squeals after braking to a stop - in which case the cables don't get used whatsoever. I do agree that he may have sticking caliper pistons (front or rear or both ).

lol my bad - long day with only 4 hours of sleep (got home at 2am and slept at 2:30, woke up at 6:30) Left at 7:30 and had classes from 8:30 to 2 and now I'm at work from 3-10pm about to go home

Something is sticking most likely the caliper piston(s) so you might need new calipers and probably brake pads (might have uneven wear) - after a drive, check to see which wheel is hotter than the others

It sounds about right...Cuz it really does only happen when it's really hot outside...But it does release itself I believe when I hit the gas. I BELIEVE!
