CustomMaxima released 95/96 red/clears finally...

i hope this isn't a repost, i haven't seen a thread on it yet aside from in the GD section.

http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design017

personally from those pics i think they look a little too gawdy and too aftermarket. but they're better than nothing and atleast a new option. who knows, maybe they'll look better in person, but the jury is still out for me on whether or not i like them.

Ewwww....i might hang onto my David L's...and to think, I was psyched about these. I think my vote is for "Ugly" - they look too reflective or something from the picture, ya know meng?

ehh.. If you have a flashy "Bling-Bling" Maxima, sure. But otherwise they dont look that great IMO. Too sparkly lol.

But, alot better improvement over the altezza's thats for sure. If you have chrome rims on your ride, these would be excellent.

I wouldnt say I'm hating them...they're just not for me. I guess they do look "Newer" if that is a word...but I agree, these are a step up from altezza's for Bling-Bling Maxima Kids.

IMHO, those are the best looking fourth generation taillights to date.

Too bad these just didn’t get made a years back..

I wish they’d make these for the 97-99’s!

The back of my car looks ** very dated ** with the faded stock taillights. These will make the car look newer and more modern for sure. A little flashy, yes. But I'll take slightly flashy over ancient and decrepit anyday.

With that said, I've got a set on the way. I'll let you know how they look in person. They are supposedly just using the same clear lenses as the "diamond clear" bumper lights. So, if you think those are too flashy (you certainly might), then stay away. But I have a feeling they will look pretty good in person.

Well, I just got payment sent out on all clear outer's today, for more than half less than the group buy price. I think I'll stay with the original red clear look, however those do look good.

Honestly I think they look really good. Everyone wanted them so bad but I can tell you one reason alot of people will say they look bad is because they still don't want to spend the money on taillights. Personally I will be buying a set even if Klearz lights end up looking better these are alot easier. If Klearz are that much better I will still buy those too.

I like them also, and maybe you could even give it a nice black tint on the clear part for those that think its too flashy. But they do look good as is. IMO

I don't know...they look good. But I feel that they somehow show too much chrome through the clear...anybody else get that feeling?

Without doubt, the original 95/96 clear tails looked much, much better IMO

Finally... I'm not crazy about them close up, but from far away they look good. Definitely the best taillights out for the '95-'96, maybe I'll buy them... btw, where do you get discount codes from for custommaxima.com?

Fair enough. These look good to me. They look even better since I don't have to see any more idiots spending $400 on the original Red/Clears for 95/96's! Those posts always make me sick. Why would someone spend that much? Or do an entire trunk conversion. $150 is still high, but I'm buying anyway. So maybe I'm a fool, too. Just not a $400 fool.

No, really, I have nothing against these. They look 100 times better than OEM. That's for sure. I simply said I like the original clear about 10 times better than these. I think some may agree with me on that one.

So, in the end, if I had a choice between these for $150 and the original clears for say $200, I'd buy the original. However, since the original ones go for $300+ nowadays, then I agree....it's nonsense. Ultimately, I would buy these (the current clears) in a heartbeat.

...of course, I don't have to....because I own a 97+, Woooo Hooooo!!!

I’m sure the price of the original red clears will come down, since CE just reduced the demand significantly.
