Wiper linkage - need help

My wipers stopped working 2 weeks ago. I found that the linkage that connects the wiper motor rotation to the center arm pivot popped off the center arm rotator. I replaced the arm with a new one (pre-lubed from Nissan). That too pops off on that center side when you turn the wipers on. What gives? Nothing seems bent and nothing was dropped on it. This pops off with NO wipers also - just linkage and rotators. Help please, its supposed to rain and I can't see. Peace: e3

Sorry for the bump (I do not do that often - if ever) but I need help before it rains.

Well I think I got it. I had to use a pair of channel locks and really clamp down hard on the pivot assembly to press fit the new arm onto the pivot point. Apparently the 1st pop you feel is not it. Its the 2nd (can't really do with fingers) pop that is the arm seating properly. I used a wire brush to clean the knurled parts that the wiper arms press fit onto with the nut and adjusted the positions carefully. The wipers run great. Peace: e3
