Just baught a place up at school and need to haul up a lot of stuff. I checked the stickies but there seems to be no write ups for this type of thing. Has anyone tried to cut the bolts in the rear seats and install a hing with a latch? Any pic's or how-to's would be awesome. thanks all.

you would have to cut out a lot of sheet metal for this to be of any benefit. take out the rear seat and look for yourself

i would take out the rear seat but with six pins in my wrist it aint easy.
im just wondering if its possible or if anyone has done this.

I only know that the 5th Gen and up have the folding seat...I guess were left in the dust...

I know someone did a hinge once that allowed him to lift the back of the rear seat up. Looked pretty bad and not very practical.

The way our rear seats are configured, it's not possible to really have the back fold down.

I remember reading a post a while back and somebody was in the process of trying to figure that out. I'm guessing they weren't able to...I don't think its possible. It won't be very easy anyway. It'll probably just be easiest for you to rent a truck.
