Better way to change tranny fluid?
The BG transmission flush system uses the transmission's own pump to circulate new fluid in and old fluid out.
We can do this ourselves. I'm pretty sure we can mimic the BG pump by taking 2 buckets. Fill one with new fresh tranny fluid and figure out which hose to the radiator transmission cooler flows fluid out of the tranny and which one flows into the tranny.
The car could be jacked up so the wheels turn and the input hose in the clean fluid. Then put the car in drive and watch the dirty fluid pump out and the clean fluid pump in.
And just keep refilling the clean bucket with clean fluid until clean fluid pumps out the output hose.
Does this make any sense? I want to try it but I have no time right now and it's starting to get hot in Georgia.
Maybe someone would want to try this... I can see it being messy- sorta.
Any thoughts? Or am I a
