Push that button once and you get to trip meter #1. Push it again and you get to trip meter #2. Push and hold it in while looking at any one of the trip meters and you reset it to zero.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. Maybe my 1998 GLE is the only Maxima with a factory rear sway bar, but I doubt it. The 1 1/4" bar is inside the multi-link beam and is welded to the trailing arms. The stock rear sway bar is in fact integrated into the rear suspension.

Sotck rear sway bar on every Gen4

Oooooooh!! That bar! My 98SE has it. All Gen4s must have it, then. It's just not very visible at all because it is so well integrated into the rear beam.

Well, I stand corrected. You're right. IMO, that's a sneaky thing to call a sway bar. It just seems to be part of the beam.

Whatever, it must not be very effective. 1 1/4" diameter rear sway bars are usually only seen in professional racing applications! Yet many still feel the need to improve on it.

A GXE with the Safety & Convenience Package is not speed governed and comes with H rated tires. If the car has the S&C package it is prewired for fog lights. I haven't done it myself, but the description of the installation does not sound very difficult. I beleive the kit can be obtained for about $180.

Im sure all of htis was all mentioned all ready. SE's have white guages...came color grill (on 97-99)....standard spoiler...all the options if you wanted to add them....GLE's have woodgrain...and more of a luxury look...GXE's are the basic model.

Again, you do not need the S&C package to be prewired for foglights on a GXE. Trust me!

All within(GXE to GLE) .1 to .2 seconds in both the 1/4 and 0-60. You should be around 6.8 and 15.0 with the 5 speed and 7.5 and 15.9 for the auto.

So on my title it says model MG? Im not sure what model my 99 is... power everything, cloth seats, no sunroof, automatic, spoiler, soft suspension, fake woodgrain inserts, steel wheels with hubcaps (could have been changed by previous owner.

Yup. Sounds like a GLE to me. You should have electronic climate control, leather etc as confirmation that it's a GLE.

gxe is fine to have... Its just the base model. But a base model maxima is still a MAXIMA! Most of the options you are missing are easily swapable with the exception of AAC. Thats the automatic climate control. The speed limiter is a simple wire snip (which induces a CEL), or an ecu swap. Sportier suspension is a 30 minute job and seats are about the easiest thing you can do! Just takes some coinage...

Just be happy youve got a Max!

Se any gle difference

The. Se maxima. Comes with traction control which is wired to the transmission it also has heated seats now I have a gle maxima it doesn't have traction control or heated seats and the motor is slight different the se model was sporty the gle was luxury and to my guess the gxe was basic I'm speaking on the 2000 models not 01 or 02,,,,there's a slight different between the gle and se model when it comes to the engine the se has a green connector that's not on gle here's a pic
On the passenger side of the motor to the rear of the timming plate this connectior is for something but i dont know what nor does any mechanic or the 4 shops i took it too
