Name ONE thing you dislike about your max.

For the first year of the 4th Gen, I can't say that there is anything that jumps out at me that I don't like. The car still has the stock 15" wheels and I have been criticized for driving a 4 x 4 but I don't give a f@ck. The car gets better fuel economy on the highway than any I have seen posted and still looks and runs like new, with a whopping 56,600 miles on it. For once in my life, I knew what I was doing when I ordered it in a 5-speed. I don't know how to drive an autotragic, lol!

a few...
- expensive to fix
- belt access
- ABS not std.
- low washer fluid light an option (some of us live in colder climates w/ snow and sure could use this reminder as we use so much washer fluid during the winter months)
- paint quality (esp. for Arctic White Pearl)
- rear seats don't fold down (I had this on my '98 Altima)
- no "express open" sunroof
- weak hood supports, esp during the cold months
- a more accurate low-fuel light, one that actually stays on when the fuel level goes towards E instead of slowly flickering on & off at a very low fuel level

Right now I don't like the exterior road noise. I am thinking of some type of cheap alternative to the crap mats out there charging over a dollar a square foot. 3M makes a polybutaline mat (or something like it) and I can't find it on ebay so back to the drawing board.

Only a couple things. . .
I just posted my '97 GXE 5-spd car to sell. But I don't think I'm shooting myself in the foot, as the issues are known to most Maxima owners. . especially when you think of so many things to like about the car!
1) rear suspension "hops" on bumpy roads
2) hood support struts
3) instrument panel rattles (fixed by inserting folded-up business cards next to each pillar)
4) paint has held up great, except for GXE wheel covers and slight fading of "tips" of body side molding (but hey, the car is over 7 years old . . .)
