My turn to complain. Hey for $5,300, I'm happy with what I have. Now, what do I need to fix and improve.

- rattle inside the dashboard
- pothole hopping
- boat feeling
- wow, 19mpg (highway), 15mpg (city) I have gotten a bloodsucker

3M makes a great undercoating. It's just called rubberized undercoating. You should be able to pick it up at any automotive parts place.
Spray on two coats and let it dry really well before putting back your carpeting and panels. Also the stuff is extremely sticky so be sure to mask off where you don't want it to overspray onto. Make sure to shake the can well before and during application. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. Good luck!

I dislike:

it's not a 5 speed
doesn't have Leather
doesn't have a Spoiler
doesn't have White face gauges
it needs more power

................. ok, I wish I had a 5 speed SE.

The kick panel next to the clutch and the cup holder! This car was made by/for little people who don't wear a size 12 shoe and drink out of sippy cups.

Everything else can be fixed by a mod, even the cup holder. As for the shoe obtrusion, I think it's part of the wheel well. I dunno. I still would love to take a plasma cutter to it.

I dont like the fact that it is sometimes hard to find parts for my car, she always gets dirty after I clean her and tell her to stay clean for at least 3 days, and it'd be nice to have a manual. soooooo if anyoine wants to trade a manual for an auto...PM me

-Hood struts
-Open differential
-Cupholders
-Wheel gap
-Interior kind of cheap
-Rear-beam suspension
-Perpetually loose armrest
-Fog lights only come on with headlights (I know, you can rewire them but they should have made them different in the factory)
-Pedals too close together

That's about all that I can think of, pretty much the same things that other's have said. Despite the semi-long list I am very happy with the car, I think people would be more satisfied if they would take a step back and realize what their car actually is...It's a four door family sedan, hence the cushy ride, lack of lsd, etc., and people also need to consider how many miles your car has on it, over 100,000 miles is alot of miles and alot of cars aren't even safe to drive at that point, let alone street race.

Only if you have the interior light set to turn on when a door opens, but that only really helps at night. That's not a complain for me, though.

I'd go for.... no auto sunroof, the amp setup of the BOSE system, and the paint scratches too easy.

I dont like the stock wheel gap.
And the fact that the window regulators always break because of the cheap plastic parts... but that is a problem with allot of automobiles.

So far so good

Recently purchase my White 99 SEL with 34,662 miles on it from a dealer by local trade in (which I checked out). Paid 12,750, which I'm sure is a bit excessive, but it's like new and loaded with everything. Still had sticker in glove box at a bit over 30 grand. Plus the previous owner tinted the windows which probably saves me around $300 bucks from having it done myself. Here in OH you don't see these guys for sale every day in this shape. So sue me for paying a bit much, but I love it. It had been on the lot less than a week and I know it wouldn't have stuck around too long.

Only complaints so far are an interior noise by the right front pillar (sounds like interior rubbing together) over bumpy roads and having to use premium gas while the oil companies bend us over.

Other than that it's the nicest car I've owned. But then again, my previous car was a 95 Lumina LS, so it doesn't take much to improve on that. lol

I just wish mine would stop leaking oil and stinking up the heater. I'm freezing driving my car in the mornings. I've really got to get my gaskets replaced.

-rattles and other noise from the door panels and dash.
-stupid square cup holders that don't hold
-body roll in corners, it could be the soft tires and rear beam
-I get a slight backfire between 1st and 2nd gear on a cold engine
-tranny going
-burning oil

I know the thread said 1 thing I dislike but too bad.

No adjustable driver's seat side bolsters (pretty rare, but I had them on my first car - '84 Mazda 626 -- that seat would hug you and cornering was much more fun)

No folding rear seat

Small door openings (hard to fit large things, like a TV, in the car)

Power antenna (what is the point of that? Just another thing to someday break)

The auto climate control always goes to your feet, and not the dash unless you manually select it

Lights don't flash for unlocking the doors

Gas mileage

Car "feels" heavy, but handles well anyway (perhaps thanks to SE suspension)

I can happily say I've had no problems with rattles, the radio *****, or low power, but now I have some things to watch out for.

Biggest complaint of all...TURNING RADIUS.

Turning radius isn't as bad as the 3rd gen.

I hate that my car wont pass emissions anymore! Damn modifications. If it wont pass emissions then at least it should be shooting fire out the tail pipe!

Nothing. Except that it pisses people off when I crowd them for a pass (track).
Oh, ok - the fact that it tends to eat clutches (3 in 2 yrs).
All things considered, for the $ might be the best all around car out there (%se with lots of mods)

I love that it weighs 2900 lbs, less than pretty much any 4-door out there!! (and most coupes!)

I don't like starting a race at 70mph up.It accelerates better from 60mph,or from standstill.Other than that,I don't like the fact that it's not AWD,and doesn't have an RB26DETT. ;-)

What do I hate about maximas? I hate the fact that people complain about ****ty MPG when they should all check their knock sensors. My car gets a whopping 400 miles per tank. For something that does 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and reaches 143 mph it's pretty damn good.

By the way, the lack of LSD is reserved only to the US version. I30's, Canadian maximas and international versions I believe have LSD.

Does that make my car sportier?
