injen isnt a true cai, it sits in your engine bay and does not require a hole in the fender like a real CAI would. any cai that pulls air through the fender would need to be completely submerged for it to suck water through, in other words you'd have to be over a foot deep to pull water through the filter

i have a injen cai and mine sucks in plenty of air...and the water guard on the bottom of your car makes it so no water is inhaled by your intake...but i have had mine for like 3 years...

I have the injen also, it isnt a true cold air intake but i didnt like the idea of cutting into the car. It does suck up hot air from the radiator but for that intake to suck up water, it will have to be under water. You can also get this part (aem makes it i think), if water would to get up in there it wont let it get into the motor. I dont really know if it works but its available somewhere. I think its a 3 inch diameter.
