Man oh man this is funny. Seriously though. I think its very difficult to run a timing map that is 3 degrees up accross the board. That would require some major reprogramming as well as some major software to do it every time you started up the car. A guy here at the local dealership has a Z and is constantly obsessing about upping the timing. He controls it will a plug in diagnostic tool like the CONSULT but the ECU only kicks out the update every time he starts it up. An E-manage would be able to do something like this, correct?

Is there any truth to the statement the JWT/TS ups the timing? If so, how much? I'd say 1-3 degrees is certainly do-able at which point 93 OCT. might even ping in the worst of conditions. 100+ degree stop and go traffic.

this thread should've been closed by now. the 4th gen forum is a quagmire of "can't-bother-to-read-stickies-or-browse" posters.
