factory spoiler - how is it connected?

Some little sh*t was sitting on the trunk of my 97SE and snapped loose the far left side of the spoiler when I yelled at him.
Anyone know how to reconnect it? It may be broken but it looks like it just popped-out.
p.s. - kids can run fast.

there are 4 bolt that hold down the spoiler in in the middle area then at the end of the spoiler it pops into an opening on back of the car. take off the spoiler and inspect it.

then beat those kids with he spoiler.

yeah... shouldn't have stopped to see if there was anything broken or the trunk dented... By the time I realized what was broke he was long gone.

Thanks for the info, MDeezy... Once I remove the bolts in the middle does the right side move forward/backward to release? I don't want to bust that side trying to get it off.

no prob

its after the 4 bolts in the middle the ends of the spoiler are popped into the trunk/back of the car. its hard to explain but its popped in, it may take a little force to get out, should just need to pull up, wiggling should ease it out of there. I'm going to search for some pics I saw one of a max in an accident that had a shot of it.

you can get replacement tabs at the dealer (i believe $7 each) you can reconnect them without taking off the spoiler....
