Modifiying the AE mod... hehe
Hey guys,
Has anyone seen the new Chevy trucks headlamps? I think it might be the silverados... But anyways, it looks like the bottom of the housing is painted black as well as the sides. I'm wondering if this would affect light output on our lamps? Any ideas?
I was thinking of using high temp paint so the stray light doesn't melt/flake off the paint. The top and bottom of the housing isn't really used. It's just the back sides where the angled reflectors are. Correct?

I've edited a couple pictures where I made the bottom black also, and just don't like it. Looks good on other cars, yes, but I just don't like the way it looks on a Max. Who knows...try it...maybe you'll like it.

I know someone who has them like that and I will too as soon as the humididty here gets low enough. The top, bottom, the little cap, and parts of the sides painted. It looks great on a white maxima but it's not as noticeable on a dark car which kind of sucks.
