About 137.
It just gets a little scary on these messed up roads after that.

if i had a SAFE place to test top speed again i would.
seeing how fast you can go on a highway is a bit to dangerous for me...remember double the speed limit = cop cuts up license right away.

128 mph 97 GLE unmodded.

i doubt a max could go over 165mph.

and at speeds above 140 i think a max would **** itself and become very dangerous and undrivable.

it ain't no sports car!

Oh! and speedometers on cars are known to be Highly unaccurate at high speeds.

Only 110 in this one. I've not really bothered testing it out yet, and the fact that my frnots are nearly bald and I need an alignment doesn't help.

130mph and she still had plenty left to give. Car felt fine too but that could be due to the aftermarket suspension.

140+ on a very open highway. As with all the advice u hear it is always dangerous to go that fast on populated roads so always be safe

funny thing is that i didn't even feel or realize that i was going that fast until i looked at the gauges.

Ive hit 135mph twice. That was on a long stretch of highway early in the morning with nearly no cars. Its too scary above 110mph, realizing that if a tire blows out or I run over some debree, ill be dead. On the highways in the cities, I probably hit 90 a few times, but average 70-80mph. The Max isnt exactly a true sports car or anything, not meant for high speed turns.

this is an understatement but the car is quite stable on nice flat roads at those speeds. i have been up there a couple of times and never felt scared. i wouldn't recommend taking any sort or corners or turns.

120 with plenty to go, just not enough straight road. This was on 95 south in RhodeIsland. Recently ran her up to 130ish running an Acura Cl on the highway. And yes i beat him by 2 car lengths

115, the limiter on my car. I'll probably try for faster after I get my suspension. Until then, I won't be removing the limiter. For my own safety.

I got my max up to around 135 but I think it could have gone a little faster but the freeway wasn't super straight and I was afraid to go faster although I think it could have. The max was super smooth at this speed though and my friend in the back seat thought we were going like 90 to 100. We also had a bycicle rack and a bike on the back of the car at the time.

120ish when i first got my max a few weeks ago. It was on a new section of highway over a bridge. Me and my brother went out there to check it out and since it was empty pretty much we gunned it across the bridge. I had fun blasting past his Altima.

I hit the rev limited in 5th gear... that was awesome... speedo was like what looked to be a good 10mph past 140, but I only checked real quick.

I've been to 142/143.The max wasn't up to redline either; I had 300rpms or so to 6,500. So, I could have squeezed a few more mph out of it, but that was fast enough for me. I did it on a back road away from anyone, drove it a few times to make sure nobody was around, no potholes, etc. It was a straight road and the max was pretty stable. I wouldn't recommend ANY turns while going that fast in the max tho. Be careful!

i don't think i've ever been faster than 105 tops in my max. i don't see any reason to go that fast, and wouldn't want to deal with police or insurance for something as lame as driving at high speeds in my floaty car...or die.

I was racing a 1999 BMW M-3 and when we stopped and conversed I asked him what we got up to and he said well my needle read 153 to 155. But mine of course was pegged so I have to go off what he says. but thats the fastest and I only did it once but the fastest Ive gone over and over again is right aroung 140 to 143.

I hit 125 in my 3rd Gen and about in the 120s in my 4th. I don't like going that fast on stock tires and no suspension mods... Heh.... Then again... I don't really like going that fast period. If any little thing goes wrong, I'm soo dead. I'm not trying to be dead right now....

i agree with this guy, insurance is high when ur a 16 year old, no point in making it ne higher. that being said, ive only been up to 105 ish, and that was in the early morning when there were no cars at all on the freeway. too scared to go any faster with my suspension (stock, and i need new rear struts/ springs)
