Projectors finished! (56k suicide out)

dam looks real good, it looks like u took a lot of time to properly do it right. I like a lot. Dam a lot of people are jumping on these. They all seem to be the same color. Why doesnt anyone take like acura hids 6k color and whatnot and go that route? i love this setup though, just wish it had more of a blue/purple color.

Still not sure i like the look of ONE projector in the housing. The max's housing is just to long...i dunno. I know its retrofitted and you cant really make them look like you want. Im just picky. Im sure the beam is rediculous at night, 100billion X's better than stock. Im also sure the pics dont do it justice.
I'll stick with doing the 9007 conversion for now

BlueC,
I finished my retrofit before Formz did and I used the same projectors that you did...the E55 with gen 4 ballasts. You can move the projectors further back but that means you have to mount them from the rear...not insert them from the front. I know the issue with the solenoid getting in the way. If you mount them from the rear you can rotate them better...thus getting the output the way it should be.
As far as the reflecting/escaping light in the housing...I didn't do anything about that because it makes the housing look "stock" There has been no noticable glare from doing it that way...but that is my preference...I was trying to find the link to my pictures/thread...hmmm damn search
got them:

Yeah, I understand now that it had to come in from the back, but they are in now, no problems. I kinda like the glare too, it isnt bad at all, nothing like the glare from halogen. It helps illuminate signs at night too, but it still is a nice sharp cutoff. I noticed on the highways, its seriously a couple car lengths longer of light than other cars and much brighter too. Not to mention, ive had 0 problems with the light flickering or shutting off, so the wiring part is very solid.
The pictures never do the justice, its 100x better in person. The light itself almost has a hint of purple in them, the cutoff is a nice deep blue/purple from a distance (beleive me I tested it out).
Nupe, seems you spent much more time than I did, and you got better results, but im happy with what I have and im not effecting other drivers at all, its still a fairly straight beam pattern. Im happy to be one of the few maximas with E55 projectors retrofitted.

Get a set of OEM's just in case
I've heard that some DMV inspection sites will fail a car with non-OEM headlights. You may want to get yourself a set of cheap used OEM headlights to keep handy in case that happens to you... I'd also have the headlight aiming checked by a bodyshop to make sure you're within DOT tolerance (to avoid getting pulled over by a cop).
Otherwise, the mod looks sharp. Congrats on the job!
