two questions...
I want to lower my car with just springs and keep the stock struts, but i heard this isn't good.... i was going to buy springs, and when my old struts wore out i would get good ones but i don't know... If this setup will work, i want quality springs and i want it low, but not too low. If you guys could give me your opinion it would be greatly appriciated.
Also, is there anything i can do about my engine ticking, i know its old (115,000) but i was wondering if i can change this. I get high engine oil and only use premium gas but i hate it. if theres anything i can do let me know.thanks

Fortunately you have SE struts, which are a little stiffer than on other models, and there's no saying how long your stock struts will hold up, I've had my Eibach Pro springs on my stock SE struts for 8 months now so far so good. You definitely save $ doing it all at once. The Eibach Pro's aren't as stiff as the old Eibachs probably because they don't drop as low, there are lots of choices in springs so that's up to you. If struts aren't in your budget at this time then go for the springs, I have aprrox the same mileage as you, hope it helps.
As far as the ticking I think you need to pin point it a little more, is it constant, or only hot, or only cold and where abouts exactly is it coming from in the engine etc.
