ATTN progress/addco RSB owners! be careful w/ brake lines when installing brackets...

i have progress RSB for 1 years+ now... i observed that my side brakets were scraping my rear brake lines. i just wanna give you guys a heads-up that you should definetly zip-tie the brake lines to the axle (or somewhere) so it won't hang around and scraping with things. anyway my brake lines are slightly cut-off but brakes are working fine. eventually it will start leaking brake fluids...then time to upgrade to some SS brake lines

nothing major...just wanna leave you guys a friendly suggestion for those who have progress/addco RSB.

I just installed mine yesterday. Thanks for the heads up. I'll do that. Actually, where exactly did you zip tie it? I'll take a look tomorrow. But just FYI, I'm almost positive that section of the brakeline is not replaced by the SS kit.

I'm glad I don't have ABS for so many reasons. Thanks again for the heads up.

Man, thanks for the huge heads-up. I will have to check that soon. I don't remember any of the lines getting in the way when I put it on, but I have not been under there in a little while.
Thanks again and bump for others...

well...the RSB side braket kinda got into the way of the origial spot for the brake lines and ABS...so there's no way to tighened it besides zip tie (so far that's all i can think of...)

How far out on the arms of the bar did you guys put the mounting bracket. I put mine so there is about an inch of the bar sticking out of the bushing. With it set like that the mounting plat misses the brake mountin by about an inch. But on the Addco the mountin bracket is not a plate, only a u-bolt. So this makes me wonder if the bars arms are different lengths thus effective handling differently.

interesting idea, my progress bar mounted with no/ 1mm of the bar sticking out past the bracket, couldnt bolt the break lines back to the swing arm so just left it like it was, I think im gunna zip tie it though..

Actually, that pic is from my site. Yes, I'm jpmax18..

This was really an annoying problem when I installed the bar. The Progress bar was new at the time so no one knew anything about install problems.

I didn't remove the bracket for the ABS line. All I did was remove the first screw and use a large zip tie instead going through the hole left by the screw.

Then I used another zip tie to hold the brake line to the ABS bracket using the now unused hole in the bracket.

Been working well so far. It's been over a year without a problem.

Zip ties baby!
