Did you have to replace the O2 sensor after installing y-pipe?

Clean them first. I had a CEL after redoing my entire exhaust and my left and right bank O2s were "bad". I removed them and found anti-seize had coated the sensorheads. I used an old sock and some rubbing alcohol to clean them off, reset my ECU and all was good. Be careful of what you use to clean them though as a lot of compounds will kill the sensor.

I just got a cel today but didnt check out the codes. The first day of installation there was no cel but then today after reving it all day i went to get gas it just lit up. Any possiblitities wat else could it be other than an o2 sensor.

None of my sensors went bad when I put on my y-pipe. I do think it is possible that you could have broken one of them or just not put it back in there correctly. I didn't know all that much about those, but my older brother told me how to handle them and they were fine. Props to him.

my sensors were jammed in the old y-pipe so I assumed I bumped them pretty good taking them out. So when I started the car and had a CEL I wasn't suprised. I pulled the codes and it was for both sensors. I got two new ones for around $180 as Eric425 said. and after putting them in and resetting my ECU my CEL went away.
