Pulled some codes...need some help!!!

My CEL came on so i got home and pulled some codes:

1. Front Left Heated 02 Sensor, (0303)
(kinda figured it would happen just installed whole exhaust set up)

2. Knock Sensor (0304)

Now for the questions. I don't know all that much about sensors and what not but would changing the O2 sensor fix the Knock sensor problem? And is it bad to drive with this problem? Also how hard and expensive is it to fix these problems? And if I brought it to a mechanic what am I looking at for $. Thanks for any help given.

Replace the o2 sensor first and see what happens with the knock sensor. The o2 sensor is really easy to do. You can get it from www.oxygensensors.com. Just make sure you get the OEM replacement one not the universal.

yeh just change the sensor first. the knock sensor usually comes on when something else goes wrong. if the knock sensor doesnt reset then you might wanna check into it.

Go with what I30MikeD said. I struggled with a universal o2 sensor that said it's compatible with Maximas but it really isn't. Universal plug is square and ours is square is rounded corners. Plus you have to do wiring, etc. OEM is plug and play.

I just had my o2 sensor go bad about a week ago and just fixed it yesterday. You can definitely feel the diference. Huge RPM jumps, sluggish performance, step on the gas and no mph increase at times, weird RPM movement, etc. I guess you can drive with it bad for a whille but I don't know how enjoyable it would be.
