Finally!! Pictures of Carbon Fiber Trunk installed

Sry for bad quality. Its not a Full digi, its a snapshot on a Super VHS camera. BUt hopefully should have some better ones that maxspeedct96 took with me with his camera.

My little Review on the CF Trunk lid from Ionic Dynamics.

-Should of had rolled edges.
-I give Fitment 95 out of 100. The gaps on both sides of trunk different. But can be fixed by slightly bending the arms that the trunk bolts up too.(hopefully i make myself clear)
-Quality 90 out off 100. some parts of edge not completely smooth or cut even.
-but the look is awsome. Got alot of compliments from many people.

And this is the 97-99 trunk on my 95-96 along with the 95-96 bumper. So everyone who was debatingon this can no see the gap from trunk to bumper. Its no more then 1/2. Not bad at all.

Hope you guys like it. will try to get some better pictures.

Very nice, you've got one fast looking trunk.

Is it for aesthetics or does it actually shave some weight, and if so how much?

I never knew that you only need to swap out the trunk lid to put in the 97+ tail lamps. So there is only a 1/2 inch gap? Did you previously had a non carbon fiber 97+ trunk lid? I might look into it now.

Thanks
Iilac

i think it weighed in at around 20-22 pounds. !/3 of the factory trunk's weight.

andmaxima98vspec, when u get urs, do me a favor and pop the trunk when ur head is over the trunk ......lol jk

that trunk FLIES open. i'm gunna unhook the hangers that force the trunk open. or i'll bend them to get less force on open.

no i had the stock 95-96 trunk that came with car. and yes the gap is only about 1/2 inch. and can also be adjusted a bit more by lowering the part that the lock grabs to lock. i droped min a bit, and need to drop more cause trunk not flush with the sides of the car. so the gap might even get smaller tommorrow i'll trya nd get a very clear close up of gap.

Nice looking trunk there....Fitment can likely be adjusted as with the stock trunk...but I think it looks good and matches dark colored cars pretty well.

I just got my trunk yesterday , im weighing it at work tomarrow. Im taking my spoiler off and put the brake light from it in the back window.

The gaps that i see that you have are the same gaps i also have with my stock trunk ,its all about how its adjusted.
