Spark plug gap for NGK Platnums
Does anyone know what the gap is supposed to be on the NGK platnum plugs? I'm replacing them and I can't find it in the factoy manual anywhere. Maybe the plugs come pre gapped, but it doesn't say that anywhere. Does anyone know. Please help. THanks

On another note, How about Advance Autoparts tried selling me a used spark plug. Like I don't have about a gazillion used one laying around already. Those rats.

This is a good topic. For clarification, looking at the physical NGK part number, you'd be looking for a "-11" at the end. On NGK this is the gap. In our case, that's OEM of .044. So depending which ones you prefer, just look for that so they're pre gapped. I personally use stock number 5464, part number BKR5EIX-11, iridium.

Glad i could entertain all of you. I stumbled upon this thread while searching for some other ****, and obviously didnt look at the date. I wasnt trying to raise my post count, but I can see how that post would be interpreted in that manner. And it really took 6 of you to let me know that i made a mistake. And then ***** about me trying to raise my post count. Y'all are almost as bad as people were on clubroadster.net....almost....Keep trying though.

just :matt93se: of this thread. First of all the Platinum/Iridium plugs come pre-gapped to spec because the electrode on the end is very fragile and using the normal methods of gaping can damage it.
