Lousey Ignition coils

Check Engine light, TCS OFF and SLIP all came on at the same time. I though my vehicle speed sensor had gone. Coming home from work today, CEL light was on the whole time indicating there was a code waiting for me then again TCS OFF and SLIP light up and the car starts to vibrate. I relized I lost a cylinder. Stepping on the gas harder made the CEL light flash. I got home and pulled the codes, 0603 & 0201.

I guess I'll just replace the coil pack for #6 and see if everything clears up.

Thanks Nissan friggin 99's and their coils.....

I feel your pain, just the other week I replaced #3 pack to find out #1 was faulty too! I dont know what nissan was thinking when they designed these.

How is it that only '99 have problems with ignition coils?

I think I read something that there was a change in the manufacturer and not enough testing was done on the newer coil packs.

IIRC, this is not only a '99 problem. It happens to other years as well. Just '99s seem to be more prone.

Mine was Hanshin too...that was the first thing I looked at when I pulled it out.
