Is the loose cat heat shield rattle intermittent or constant? I sometimes get what sounds like either a rattle or some kind of weak metal contact around 3000 until 4500ish rpm while driving. It's intermittent and when it does happen, it's only under load. Heat shield? Tensioner? Loose random part?

Unless you get under the car and see what is loose how are we supposed to know what's wrong? There are MANY things that can be loose so I suggest you get under your car and find what's wrong...

i had a rattleing problem. It was that metal part that goes between the cat and y-pipe. I think people refer to it as a hanger. I just bent it away from the body and problem was solved.
