BUMP.

I'm curious to know as well. My car will be dropped with sprints paired with AGX's by the end of this coming week. I will still be rolling on the stock sawblades though. Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

I am also getting KYB's and sprints put in by next week..I am also wondering if we need the camber bolts, but most members on the org dont have them and the camber is fine...

well, there is one way to find out, when you have the setup go have your car aligned and you can figure it out from there, it will show you the min/max for camber and toe, and you'll see, just for reference, when I had H&R which aren't even 2" drop my left camber was right on the limit of the range and the right camber was way away from the range. I have GC now and I'm going to go back to stock because I'm not spending money on the camber kit. so the short answer to your question is yes, you really should get a camber kit, unless you want to **** through tires

Where would be a good place to get a camber kit?

I think I saw a camber kit for our cars by Intrax, and it was only like 60 bucks CDN, so like 40 USD.....That's not too bad. Anybody used this camber kit? Who else makes a camber kit for our car?

I paid around $30 for my ingalls camber bolts (one each for front wheels).

I have the H&R's with KYB's and its only a 1.5" drop. And my camber was so bad, I wore out my tires in 20,000 miles (inside edge). So I've installed the bolts and my camber is still on the negative side, but its better than before. If you are going to take apart the suspension, its not too much more to add the camber bolts. Its good peace of mind.

I just looked at Southwest Autoworks site and they sell adjustable Camber Bolts for like $30. I wonder if they are worth it?

Yes! They are very worth it. I'm on Sprints/AGX and without the bolts, the camber can't really be adjusted perfectly leading to inside tire wear. Buy the bolts and have them installed when you get an alignment. My guy said they were a great investment, allowed him to align the car perfect

You only need 2 bolts.

BTW I ordered mine from SWA last Thursday and I still haven't recieved them. Maybe they are on backorder?

So even with Sprints and without the camber bolts, tires STILL wear unevenly when aligned as close to spec as possible??

Yea, I am almost positive of that. My guy said that the strut can be modified slightly (I dont know how), but the bolts are much easier and efficient.

Does anyone have pics of camber bolts and where they go? Im trying to picture the setup in my head but cant figure out where these "bolts" go..

Edit: PS: people currently with sprint springs that have NO camber bolts, please give feedback on if any tireware issues you guys have or dont have. thanks!
(my springs arrive tuesday and i do not want to wait a few more weeks for more parts to arrive!)

There are two bolts that hold the front struts to the brake/axle assembly. The camber bolt replaces the bottom of these two bolts. I am not sure how these they effect or adjust camber, but they do. There is some kind of washer with them that has a small "hook" on it.
Leave it up to the alignment shop for all this, you just buy them.

hey, i got the progress springs (1.7" front, 1.5" back) and i've had problems with the camber and my tires are wearing out and squealing like hell. Would it work if i got these or is it only for a certain brand? thanx

I've had my sprints for about a year now and i have not used camber bolts and my alignment and tire wear are fine, if i am within the camber range is there any real need for them?

Here we go again... I also had this question like a few months ago... I still haven't got my REAL alignment yet... and i can tell me tread is starting to wear in the front... the cambers aren't really needed like Jeff said b/c i talked to someone that works on alignments.. it is needed if you are going more than 2 inches... sprints are the lowest and they only go 2 inches... i'm still unsure on this topic...
