Cheapest place for NGK plugs?
i'm looking for NGK platinum plugs to replace in my 98 maxima...what's the cheapest place to buy them?

Maybe you should sell your Maxima, buy a Civic and save yourself even some more loot then. Maximas do not run well with any plugs except NGK Platinum.

That's where you're wrong =) Truth be told, Maximas run even better with NGK Coppers. You probably won't notice the difference on an N/A car but copper is more conductive than platinum and gives a better spark. The downside to copper is durability. However, the cost of copper plugs more than makes up for its lack of durability; they cost 4-5x less and last 1/2 as long. So in essence, they're half the price of platinum plugs.

ALWAYS check and adjust gap (if neccessary) b4 installation. Even if the gap is "pre-set" by the manufacturer, plugs can get banged around in shipping/handling enough to affect the gap.

The only possible problem with running copper is this. I was told by Courtesy Nissan that they do have a slightly different heat range, causing the car to run at "non-optimum levels" when it's extremely cold. Other than that, they rock.

copper is better for the car.. the only times copper has a different heat range is if you bought a different heat range..
BKR5E-11 ... its the same heat range as stock
