The VQ30DD (and the VQ25DD) is a direct injection engine. It doesnt have fuel injectors in the intake manifold like our cars. Fuel is inject directly into the cylinders at very high pressure (~700 psi). This gives much more precise control of the fuel, resulting in better fuel economy and lower emissions.

So then what controls the rate/quantity of fuel flow into the cylinder?

Just curious.

The ECU controls injector pulsewidth just like our cars.

If you replace the entire fuel system, the electrical system, and the entire top end of the engine, yes, it would be possilbe.

Don't forget...

You'd have to change the quality of fuel your country uses. The fuel in the U.S. is too sulfur-rich in content for use with direct injection.
