How much does a good strut job cost?

I own a '99 Maxima GXE, and the struts I know are gone, most likely the springs also. The car currently has 213k miles on it, and I've been quoted around 1000 dollars. These are the stock springs and struts, so should I also get it lowered while I'm at it? And how low should I go if I want to put on 18" rims?

I just quoted that struts(tokico) and lowering springs(Apex, 1.2 inch drop) will run me about 650

thanks, i went around 135 the other day and it was wobbling badly, and i can't take tighter turns anymore. Now should i go for the G37 rims, 350z rims, or the 5.5/6 gen Maxima rims

look in the GD section
kyb gr2s are 315 shipped all 4
new bumpstops and strut mounts are about 150 shipped all 8
and than springs is personal preference. i like progress 1.7/1.5 drop for 175 shipped.
than it should cost $150-200 to replace everything
that's about $800

and about the rims, i'd say go for the 350z rims

they dont require any crazy tools....spend a couple extra bucks and get a good ratchet, sockets, breaker bar, screwdriver, spring compressors (or rent), a couple wrenches...nothing special...you can also take the struts out with shocks on take them to a shop and get them installed cheaper then having them do the whole job
