I don't think its the whole harness with relays and everything. Just an adapter harness to plug and play your factory harness to the 9007.

well since this has been bumped from the dead, anybody have a link with pics of how to do this mod? I am getting quite tired of the horrible stock light output on my 97 GLE.

i did my 9007 conversion for free, just switch wires. unless you are going higher watt bulbs there is no reason to get an upgraded harness.

9007 conversion write up

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....007+conversion

just switch the low beam and ground wires, shave the nubs off, put in 9007s, and re-aim the lights.

Ignorance is bliss, huh? The stock wires suck. An upgraded harness, even at stock 45/65 wattage, WILL make the light output brighter.

As tatanko said. You want output? Make a harness. Switching wires isnt a conversion, its a rewire.

I love how people hear the 'upgraded' word in the upgraded harness, and they assume it goes with 'ugpraded' (high watt bulbs)...

No, no you didn't. These have relays, larger gauge wiring, hook directly to the battery, etc. You can buy a 9004->9004 harness and simply cross wires, and the wiring sometimes is a larger gauge, but that's not the same. You'll get no benefit it out of it other than not having to cut your stock wiring harness.

Well if I didn't pay the $12 for the pair excluding sales tax and my fuel cost to purchase them then how much are they worth to you. I'll gladly sell them to you. Happy Monday.

Not $12, that's for sure. I bought a set like that from eBay like 3 years ago for like $8 including shipping. I don't need 'em, either, I've got HID projectors, fool I'm just messing with you on my attitude today, it's a Monday. You know how it is...

well it may but someone said that there was no relays, I saw no pictures. people saying you can buys these for 6 dollars, just a 9007 socket with 12GA wires. I got that you need relays and run the power off the battery to get the most of an upgraded harness. I would buy the APC upgraded harness from summit, you can make your own also.
For me i switched the wires and modded the 9004 clip with good results in my mind. I can see alot more at night, mostly for just the deer running across the road is what i was going for.
