WTB: 1995-1996 Plastic engine skids

Over the years I have destroyed and now have no more skid plates that cover the tranny and engine...I travel a lot and now have noticed a change in gas milage wich I feel is due to no skids for areodynamics. If anyone has anything that can help I will gladly help fill their wallets

Free Bump, Just found out I shredded mine in the last bad storm we had up here in the north east. There is a junk yard close to me that had two or three 4 gens last I checked. If they have two sets I will let you know price

unless you're going at the speed of sound, those "skid plate" will not cause you to have poor gas milage, those plastic pieces are there mainly to protect the engine and tranny from road debree and water.

did you try the dealership, i doubt that they are too expensive. Most used cars have these things torn up or cracked due to age and regular driving.

The dealership sucks for cheaps parts cause nothing cheap is actually cheap there....I live in Montucky too so our junk yards consist of mostly tractor parts and dog houses for some reason....I know the MPG deal isn't related to the skid plate but I would however like to protect the engine bay better than I am right now.

If you (Pod97654) could locate some extra skid plates man I would love to buy em from ya! Thanks for the advice and heads up and any other help I will greatly appreciate! BANZAI!

just to give you some info, these platic covers are not causing you to loose gas milage. Check your plugs, air filter, iacv, knock sensor, o2 maybe, egr valve...that stuff is whats causing your gas milage to go down.
