How much $$$ to get a bumper painted?

The rear bumper onm y '96 Pearl white SE was damaned by the P.O. I'm sick of seeing it peeling so I'm wondering how much a body shop would charge to paint just the rear bumper if I bought one from like PartsTrain ($60) that came in black primer.

Also the trunklid is peeling the clearcoat. How much to paint that too?

I would estimate around 500. Find a good shop in town and ask.

no... around here theres a place called MAACO or something that paints cars for $250. I don't think a bumper needs that much paint obviously so who knows. Can u get a front bumper for that price? because I need one..

lol please no macco unless you like bringing in your car every 3-6 months due to their cheap work. For my bumper it was 575 for them to repaint my new bumper and to color blend the adjacent panels. Yeah if you do it please go to a shop lots of them offer lifetime warranties on their paint and workmanship where companies like macco etc. offer warranties for 3-6 months, 1 year if your lucky.

Every shop you go to will probably charge a different amount for the same work.Get a recommendation from someone that has work done on their car and is happy with their service and quality.

300.00 is a fairly average price to pay for a bumper to be painted. Keep in mind that pearl will always cost a bit more, and is more difficult to match.
When i did the 97-99 conversion many shops refused to paint it becasue they couldnt gaurantee it would match 100%.

Yes sir!!! My aunt bought the first gen RX300 and at the time Toyota/Lexus stupidly didn't release the paint codes for their weird white pearl color so after 5 times of my aunt complaining about her job not matching. The shop owner said screw it and bought her a new one. There was a huge difference in color though, so she wasn't being and **** jerk about it.

My old car (an 01 Pathfinder) needed the bumper repainted after a small collision that resulted in some scratches to my bumper. $350 out the door.

anything below 200 is a good deal. of course there will be shops that quote you 850 bux cuz they claim the labor to put the bumper on is about 400 bux

my friend has a paint gun. I think we're going to paint my new front bumper and get the paint from a store in my city. Any thoughts?

anything below 200 is a shop doing hack work or is desperate for work. the materials alone are 100 bucks, if you have to blend the quarters it's even more, and on a pearl white the quarter panels would definately have to be painted.

keep in mind you get what you pay for. the proper way to spray a bumper is off the car so they can get to the underside without a ton of overspray, plus so that there arent any tape lines when theyre done. for 2 bills they are taping it all off, scuffing it (maybe) and just shooting the bumper, no warranty, no color match.
