Consider these steps an add-on to MOTORVATE'S write-up that are missing.

First off, ensure you have
- large breaker bar
- metal file
- general purpose grease
- Condom (dry, non lubricated)

Add-ons:
a) When you try to remove the fans, you'll need to disconnect the radiator hose on the right side of the radiator. It'll make removing the fans 99.9% easier.

b) Take the condom and put it over the radiator where the hose was connected. It'll actually collect the dripping radiator fluid.

c) When you remove the bolt from the top of the radiator, don't even try a wrench, use a breaker bar. These bolts are in tight if they've never been off before.

d) Drop the condenser BEFORE you attempt to get at the rear bolt. Chances are, you'll need the breaker bar to that those four bolts off as well.

e) When you attempt to remove the rear bolt, use the breaker bar again - do not attempt to use a wrench.

f) Before you put the replacement alternator in, grab a fine metal file and file away at where the lower bolt contacts the inside of the car bracket. The re-furbed alternators will have that cheap silver pant and trying to fit it back on the bracket on the engine is near impossible. By filing it smooth for a few minutes, it'll fit back into the lower bolt bracket as smooth as butter making aligning it to put in the lower bolt easy peazy. Trust me.

g) Before putting the two alternator and the four compressor bolts back in, grease them up good. I think Nissan was scared to use grease/lub on ANY of their bolts for some reason. As a result, taking off bolts that have never been touched since assembly require a breaker bar for removal.

h) It's a great opportunity to replace your drive belt. Make sure you spend AT LEAST $20 on this belt, preferably a gatorback from Goodyear or an OEM. Cheaping out on belts is BAD news.
