Ok so i changed my driver side cv axle and after being parked over night it had a puddle of transmission fluid leaking. I took everything back apart again and made sure it was as far as it can go in but still leaks. So i figured probably the seal is messed up? The question is how to take the seal out? Is there a tool to take it out or is it simply pry it out with a flat head and hammer?

Pry it out with a flat head - just be careful not to damage the metal transmission side seal surface.

They make specific little sharp pick type deals used to stab and remove seals, but I've never needed/used one in 15 years of working on cars. I've always just used a flat head.

Finally got the right seal. Autozone gave me the wrong one so got my money back and went elsewhere and had to order it overnight but finally got it back on and gonna finish putting everything back together.
