mine was 3060 forget how much gas in it, with no driver and no spare. but that was with 28lb wheels and 225-50-17 tires, so there was at least 60lb extra in wheel/tire alone.

My old black VE weighed 3120 without me but with a full tank of gas, spare, etc.

I weighed my current blue VE and it staggeringly weighed 3300-ish. I guess my wheels are pretty F'in heavy.

i think my 3rd gen at its lightest (Volk wheels, Sparco seats, no back seat, no spare, half a tank of gas) would have been low-mid 2900's. Supra is 2800 with everything on it

damn the scale i used must make things heavier cause i have no carpeting, no sound deadning in the cabin, stock wheels, no spare , and gutted some things here and there, but i got a 10 in sub with box and amp with a 10 in sub in the deck lid of the rear.

I'm assuming you're talking about your 3rd gen?

My '03 GXE Auto tipped the scales at 3150 a few weeks back. Full interior minus spare plus large amp. Going to the track tonight and will weigh again. May try and pull out my amp along with my jack.

Actually it's probably the opposite. Unless you weigh negative 50-100 lbs, or you've done some unlisted weight reduction, your car seems a little too light to weigh that much WITH you in it.

The vast majority of 3rd gen weights I've seen over the years are all ~3200+

IIRC, mine was 3050 on a truck scale with about 1/2 tank of gas, no spare, no passenger or back seat. I think I had my stock wheels on to race. I can't remember for sure, it has been a while. I imagine if I searched for posts from 4-5 years ago, I could find it.

There are a lot of things you can take out to reduce weight. I am sure Aaron has us all beaten down.

My VE Auto was about 3300lbs when I was stock with full interior and low on gas. That was without driver. Now I'm 2600 with driver. The VQ35 is much lighter.

taking out the back seats and subs wont get you down to 2600. you would have to remove quite a bit to get that light

I really can't ever fathom why people remove their rear seats. They practically weigh nothing and it's a spectacular waste of time, really.

Aaron has some extensive weight reduction. Most 3rd gens won't ever come close to Aaron's weight

yeah theyre only a few pounds of foam, i thought they were heavier. i rode without them for a while then figured if its lose about 5lbs or have the sound deadening that they do, i'll take less noise

if you want to get to 2500ish lbs on a 3rd gen, you probably would be looking at drivers seat only, CF hood, doors, and trunk, no spare etc

As well as removal of (heavy) safety/support features in the doors/bumpers/crash zones that I personally wouldn't want to be driving around without as a daily driver.

lol i love the course of direction these last posts have been, I started to wonder myself why so many people we're mentioning removal of the rear seats no offence to anyone tho who religiously abides by it on the track. Its just I removed a couple months ago when doing my rear struts and I dont believe they even weighed 5 lbs .

Some of these weights I'm hearing tho are pretty dam light for my expectations doesnt it come out the factory at around 3120? I imagine my VE weighing in around 3300 lbs considering im almost 200lb myself. How low could aarons max have possibly gotten to? Anybody know =)

Yeah, I gotta have my tunes too. In fact, my race weight includes both rear speakers and my headunit still. I can't live without that. But my bumper supports are gone and I am using a trailer recently to get my car to the track. I try not to drive my Maxima too much on the street without the bumper supports. If I barely hit something at 15mph, I'll have some serious damage that would result in scrapping the chassis.

You talk like my 3rd gen is over with. It's just been sleeping for the past several months while I got married. But, I plan to finally get my 4500rpm stall 9.5" high stall converter installed and do some further weight reduction at the same time. There are several more things I have on my weight reduction list such as converting my PS rack over to full manual (not just removing the PS belt). I also need to remove my ABS actuator and all the ABS related brake lines. I don't even have a carbon fiber or fiberglass hood yet. I may never have one.

But one thing that is on my list is a rollbar so I can be in the 11s under NHRA rules. I will definitely do a chrome moly rollbar so I can get away with a thinner tube for less weight.

I will probably be able to get my race weight with driver down to 2550 by removing the ABS stuff, doing manual steering rack, and installing a fuel cell BEFORE I install the roll bar. After that, my weight will probably increase by 75lbs of so with the roll bar. Then after I feel I have run about as fast as I can NA, I'll piece my interior completely back together with carpeting, door panels, full dash, headliner, etc and have a pretty sweet street Maxima. I can put my interior back in and only increase the weight by about 80 lbs if I do it smart. Thin carpet, race seats, etc.

Ya lol that was my 3rd gen...and also yea the rear seat doesnt weigh much of anything i only mentioned that i had my rear seat out when mine weighed 2980 because i believe it was a day or so after i put my lowering springs on so yea the back seat was out to get to the strut bolts...o and also its quite a bit noisier than with a seat back there, you can hear all the dirt/sand/rocks up in your rear wheel wells and also the exhaust echo;s right through the floor...

Wow some of you guys are hardcore. I'd personally rather add more HP than strip the car out to such an extent. I'd rather have a quick car AND all the "luxuries" of a quiet interior, heat/ac, seats, etc.
