which rotors should i get?

so my rotors are completely gone and im gonna be ordering some new ones soon. i really wanted to get some that are cross drilled and slotted, but someone told me those tend to crack, is this true?

if not then im really thinking about these.

I've had several sets of cross-drilled/slotted rotors over the years and none of them have cracked or given me any problems whatsoever. I'm running slotted rotors on my setup right now. They've been on there for several years. Before I went to a BBK setup, I was running cross-drilled/slotted rotors for a good 5-6 years with no issues.

Of course, I've also noticed no discernible difference in braking performance. If anything, they're just eye-candy

I believe I was told drilled/slotted rotors tend to crack when being turned.
normal use won't do anything like that.
but as James said, there is hardly any benefit for a street car (aside from looks). best upgrade is a GOOD set of pads.

Whats a good bbk to get? Can I use q45 calipers? Is there a way to get the rather large front brakes onto the rear? I just dont like the idea of shelling out turbo $$ for a brake kit

I'm running Power Slot Cryo frozen slotted rotors. $80 for two.

This isn't for my Maxima, but I think it would apply.

I have a 94 GMC diesel 4x4 and they are notorious for warping rotors. The ones on it were crazy warped. My local brake shop recommended the EBC sport rotors (dimpled, slotted). The dimples are better than drilled holes, as they aren't as likely to crack. They were also matched with EBC pads, I think they are the green ones.

They cost about 50 percent more than the OEM replacement rotors. Well worth it, IMO. I have hauled some very heavy loads and the brakes are still true and don't wobble at all. He told me that most "OEM" rotors are now made in China and they use inferior steel in them. EBC are manufactured in England and they use better steel.

When I go to put new rotors on the Maxima, they will be the same type of rotor and probably some kind of EBC pad.
