Welcome to the .org. We have quite a few members from Washington and Oregon.

Sometimes we even have meets or there are people around that can help with installs/shop work, etc.

It's not as busy, but check the local site.

www.nwnissaninfiniti.com

It is a NW offshoot of the .org. It used to be NWMaxima, but a lot of guys found other rides, like G35s and stuff.

Welcome! Glad to see there is still interest among some out there. Your car would look very sexy with a drop. Try the Intrax springs with the KYB GR2 struts. Should be a comfortable ride. In the end its what you find comfort in.

Good lookin 3rd gen my man! Drop it for sure... Intrax would be good but if the money's tight then go with ksport theyre 130 shipped and handle pretty well.

Yesterday I was cruising with my VE behind a 5.5 gen. It was dropped so low me and my son bust out laughing. There is not enough money in this world to make me even think about dropping my cars but then again I'm not a kid. I've had a drivers license for some thirty years mang!
Anyway, welcome son...a word from the wise. Maintenance will always be better than modding.

Eibachs are just right. Only drop about an inch and stiffen the suspension a little. No one ever complains in my car about it.

I do agree that maintenance is more important, though.

My next move will be to replace the LCA's then struts, and all frontend related bushings. I want it to feel like when it first came from the factory.

if you want to go low, go Intrax or Ksport. i dont scrape, just have to take speedbumps and driveways at a angle

someone wanted pics of my Max's underside after my drop, IIRC this is the lowest part, the front swaybar

cheap good struts are KYB GR2, not gonna find Tokico's or Koni's unless someones parting out

huge difference with the drop, and i havent even gotten a alignment or camber bolts yet

There is a guy in Forest Grove (a bit west of Portland) that has a set of 3rd gen Eibachs for sale listed at $100. He has listed them several times in the last couple of months, so you could probably talk him down even more.

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/1964158669.html

Les Schwab sells KYB GR2s and they have a buy 3, get 1 free deal right now. I don't know how their price compares to other places, though.

If you are good with tools, I think you can rent/loan spring compressors from IdiotZone or NAPA and do it yourself. It will need another alignment, though.

Since you got the car at a Portland auction, I was thinking you probably lived in the Couv, so you aren't too far away.

He's been trying to sell them for over a year. I called him a long time ago and he said they were completely blank and didn't say Eibach anywhere on them and that he was told they were Eibachs.. So either all the stamps have been rubbed off completely, or they aren't Eibachs. I guessed the latter and passed.

I guess it's feasible the Eibach markings have rubbed off, but I'd think there'd be some trace of it somewhere. The used Eibach's I bought are pretty worn but you can still see the Eibach markings.

If they're black and they're lowering springs.. I'd guess they'd have to be Eibach's. He could probably confirm pretty easily (at least confirm that they're lowering springs) by measuring the spring height.

I had seen them on CL before, but I just figured the market for 3rd gen aftermarket parts is almost non-existent except on this site.

no, but your turning may feel off and you will get uneven tire wear, ive been on my drop for a month and a half without an alignment or camber bolts. i had suspension problems from before the drop and when i got the drop done i got my suspension overhauled, the previous problems caused my front wheels to wobble half a inch so the tires were toast (shame because theyre not even a year old )

just going to burn these tires into the ground, then get some rubber on the Rays and get the camber bolts/alignment all at once

I have Eibachs/Tokicos and I haven't had any camber issues, but I did have it aligned right after MrGone and I installed the springs and struts.

A daily driver or use a lot then you should go w/eibachs pro kit, about a 1 inch drop. Only a show car should be dropped really low.
