Greddy + Addco = don't mix
I've had an Addco bar for probably 5 years now but just installed it today. I remember there was speculation years ago about Greddy and the Addco rear sway bar conflicting, but I can say definitively they do conflict
Now, I wonder if the bar could just be lowered an inch or so by utilizing something like Matt's heavy duty hanger rods? I have Matt's set (not installed yet) but they seem to be about the same length as stock. They have a threaded portion on them in between the heim joint and the flat bottom where the bar mounts. I'm thinking of just using the threaded section to just lengthen the rod, which would set the bar down below the Greddy pipe an inch or so.
I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work. My only concern would be screwing up the suspension geometry. But I'm guessing it probably won't cause any issues at all. Has anybody done anything similar?

I'm not sure it'd help with the sway bar though, because the Greddy exhaust tip is already only about a 1/4" from the underside of the rear bumper, so it can't raise up any further. So, if anything, the bar would have to go down.

both solutions will work. I've used hose clamps around the rubber exhaust hangers to help pull them up a bit and raise the exhaust- long as it doesn't hit the bumper.
You can also use some longer threaded rod to move the bar down- nothing wrong with that. That stuff is just 3/8"-24 all-thread, so you can buy a foot of it at the hardware store for about $10 and just cut longer ones.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure you did. I forgot about that

Is that the ST rear sway bar I have now? I got it from MrGone I think. I can't remember now. These 3rd gen parts have been all over. I have stuff on my car that were shipped from like 10 different states and Australia.

I have Matt's link system with a ST sway bar. My piping was rubbing a bit so I did exactly what your asking about. I just unscrewed them to lower the bar and everything worked out fine. Why my piping was binding in the 1st place. Idk I know I just fixed the issue.

Where did you guys find the threaded rod? I can't find 3/8-24 thread anywhere. Every place just has 3/8-16
I guess I could order online, but it's frustrating that I can't find it locally
One of my stock hangers already broke. Not even 300 miles on it and no aggressive driving whatsoever

I had to order some online from Amazon. It was the only listing I could find for it

Mcmaster has a warehouse in Dallas. usually I can find fine thread at ACE as well.
Usually I would buy it in bulk (12' sticks) from Fastenal and cut to length. should have been able to buy a 1' peice from them, and there's almost always a Fastenal nearby.

Got it all fixed up today. I put in Matt's mounts and used threaded rod to lengthen them to drop the bar down a little. On the passenger side, I didn't even have to cut out the stock bracket, Matt's fit right in there beside it perfectly. The driver side I had to cut out a good chunk of it though. I'll try to weld these in sometime soon, but I really don't think they're gonna go anywhere as it is..
Also, that's not rust on the bar. Over the years of it sitting in the garage my brother got overspray all over it and I've just never cared to clean it off
I took the car for a little test drive and, concurrent with my recent luck, the car was doing its missing/lack of power spiel again. This time it wasn't accompanied with a dynamite smell, so at least that's a small win
