Auto a/c heater control problems & questions

I searched!

93 ACC not working. None of the lights (including display) light up, certain modes/fan speeds/temperature combos don't work. Not that I can see what everything is set on anyway.

Can I swap it for a manual until I can find another auto? There are several manual units at the junkyard. Will other years/gens work? There were more 4th gens.

Just buy a new control unit and see where you're at. Converting to from auto to manual is a lot of work. I have a couple spare auto units, I could probably let one go, send me a PM if you're interested.

those digital controllers are notorious for LED problem. I replaced all the capacitors and resistors in mine and the pos quit working after two months. It's been dead ever since. I recently picked up a replacement from jy and right off the bat, the LED won't light up but it works though. crap. what a piece of junk.

Swap control units, swap motors, extensive wiring. They are 2 completely different systems.
