Starter Compatibility VG/VE?

I have to replace the starter on my VE (manual trans).
I'm going to pull one from the wreckers but it's rare to find a VE5 there.
Does anyone know if the starters from other 3rd gens are compatible?

They are different...

This is a VG starter

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...uralast+Import

And this is a VE starter... (though its for a AT)

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...chText=starter

And make sure you know exactly what yours looks like if you're going to a parts store, cuz they will sell you whatever the computer says to sell you, even though they don't fit/are the wrong product...

Yeah, what Brian said.

Brian... Thanks for giving my buddy Chung the hookup on those parts the other day. You made his week!
