i found this site while searching for intake lower manifold spacers which i found:

but when i looked at all the other items for sale on that site i really started to think whether or not the "z" car had a few different components than the maxima's vg....so do these spacers fit the maxima and what about all the other parts listed on that site http://www.z31parts.com/engineparts.html

I don't think that will fit on a Maxima engine. The intake manifold is shaped differently where it has two rows of three intake ports each. I believe it stays that way all the way through the lower manfiold and they never line up at any mating flange like that.
Then again, it's been 10 years since I've had a VG that torn apart.....

yeah, it is incompatible. i've recently torn apart both my VG and a z31, so it's all fresh in my head. the z31 has inline ports and the max has the offset crisscross setup

maxima 85-88 not 88.5 or 89
villager
pickup thats not carb
