So it turns out a shop I know has 93 VE A/T for sale.
Has VTC noise (I assume based on his description)
Might have a miss
Needs brakes (if I heard him correctly)
it has a cloth interior like the GXE (plush rather than tweed)
sunroof
133k on it
Rust on the dog legs.
I didn't get a chance to run it yet. Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to run it.
it will cost me about $600.
Am I really that crazy for considering buying another one?

If it's worth it, buy it. Matter of fact, there's a black 92 5 speed that i'm interested in buying mehself, only problem is the lady lives a couple hours south of here, it won't start, she says ECU but I doubt it, I don't want to drive 2.5 hours just to find out the injun is blown..

dude, just get it over with already and be happy It probably has the velour interior which is worlds better than the GXE crap cloth (not to offend anyone, but I had it in my GXE and hated it) I know when I first got my car you didn't like my interior w/ the cloth color combo, but you will soon enough fall in love with the velour goodness; I slide around too much on 3rd gen leather seats.

the last one I really should not have sold. it was fairly clean, I had mods started on it (UDP, tokicos, strut bar). but I wanted the power of the caddy. dam caddy had a seriously leaky trunk and that dam service suspension light.
this VE still has the original radio
interior is CLEAN.

I won't do leather seats because of a few things.
1. too cold in the winter until the heat kicks in
2. too hot in the summer
3. most of them are trashed by now
I am considering swapping into some "performance" seats though.
depends on money and if I can find tracks for them.

the seats will be like that if u dont "condition" the leather after i tried conditioning mine it felt like there was gum stuck all over the seats it actually was a lil too sticky for awhile....also i dont know what it is about the leather... maybe the fact that its tan.... but it neva get too hot or too cold

I started it up today, and it started fine and quietly with a jump.
it has 2 non working cylinders (both rear corners, couldn't be fronts could it)
No VTC noise. Didn't really drive it since I didn't want to scrape the ice off the windshield and the brake pedal sucked because the master cylinder was empty
I may go back and fill up the brakes to see if it leaking somewhere. He said he would fix the line if it is line leaking.

just had a guy do a starter on my old pathfinder 2 weeks ago and a fuel pump in the caravan yesterday.
Both were on the street jobs. Fuel pump took him roughly 12hours yesterday plus several days before of prep work.

while not nearly as bad as the parts car that rust is still kinda scary... even for $600 i'm not sure i'd get it.

Rest of the car was clean and in good shape except for the fog lamps missing the reflectors and lenses.
